Terms of Service

The ground rules for using Deelz. Plain English where we can.

Last updated: 21 April 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Kaeronea Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14797526, with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE (referred to as "Deelz", "we", "us", or "our"), covering your use of the website (deelz.uk), the restaurant portal (portal.deelz.uk), our admin console (admin.deelz.uk), and our iOS app (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Deelz.

1. What Deelz is

Deelz is a discovery platform that connects diners with fixed-price restaurant deals (lunch specials, set menus, happy hours, percent-off rate deals, etc.). The deals themselves are created, priced, and honoured by the restaurants. Deelz doesn't set prices, take orders, process payments, or operate the restaurants listed on our platform, and we don't charge commission on any meal.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a Deelz account.
  • You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your credentials safe. You're responsible for activity under your account.
  • One Deelz account per person. One restaurant account per restaurant business (brand) - team members can be added to the same account with Admin or Member roles.
  • Notify us promptly at security@deelz.uk if you suspect your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Post misleading, false, illegal, discriminatory, or offensive content.
  • List a restaurant or deal that isn't yours or that you don't have authority to represent.
  • Scrape, screen-scrape, or copy bulk data from Deelz without our permission.
  • Attempt to bypass our security, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Use Deelz to spam, phish, harass, or stalk.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or probe our infrastructure.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

4. Restaurant obligations

If you list a restaurant on Deelz:

  • You own your content. Deals, descriptions, images you upload - they're yours.
  • Honour your deals. If you publish a deal on Deelz, you agree to honour it at the times, locations, and prices you've specified. For percent-off rate deals (e.g. "50% off sushi on Mondays"), you agree to apply the stated rate to the items specified during the stated window.
  • Fixed deals, not aggregator-style inflation. Prices you publish must be what the diner actually pays. Don't inflate a was-price to make the saving look bigger - we position Deelz as an honest deals platform, not a discount aggregator.
  • Keep listings accurate. Pause or update deals when anything material changes. Stale information is worse than no information.
  • You grant Deelz a licence to display, format, resize, and distribute the content you upload through the Service for the purpose of running the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for content already cached or delivered to users' devices.
  • Deelz may review, reject, or request changes to submitted deals. Our review team is small - we aim for a 24-hour turnaround.

5. AI-assisted features

Parts of the restaurant portal use AI to speed up setup. When you use features like "Scan website for deals" or profile autofill, we fetch public pages of the website you tell us about and pass them to our AI sub-processor to generate suggestions (draft deal copy, proposed pricing, cuisine tags, image imports).

  • You authorise us to fetch and process the public pages of a website you identify as yours, for the duration needed to generate suggestions.
  • All AI outputs are proposals, not automatic publications. You (or your team) must review and submit them for approval through the portal.
  • You remain responsible for the final deal copy, price, and any claims it makes. Don't approve an AI suggestion you haven't read.
  • If a suggestion misrepresents your offer, edit it before submission or skip it entirely.

6. Diner experience

  • Deals are offered by individual restaurants. Deelz is not a party to any transaction between you and a restaurant.
  • Availability, quality, and fulfilment are the restaurant's responsibility. If a restaurant doesn't honour a deal they've listed, please tell us - we take this seriously and may remove repeat offenders from the platform.
  • Location-based features ("deals near me") require location permission. You can revoke it at any time in your browser or iOS settings.
  • Saving a deal, setting a reminder, or sharing a deal link is provided as-is. We don't guarantee reminder delivery timing or external share-preview rendering (those depend on the messaging app you share into).

7. Fees and the launch offer

Diner browsing is free. Restaurant listings are free for the first three months for the first 500 London restaurants to sign up - no card required, no commission on any meal. After the trial, continued listing may require a subscription; we will clearly notify you before any charge. You can cancel before the trial ends and owe nothing.

If we introduce paid features beyond the base subscription (promoted placements, premium analytics, etc.), we'll notify existing users before they become active. Existing free features won't suddenly become paid without notice.

8. Intellectual property

The Deelz name, logo, and the software behind deelz.uk, portal.deelz.uk, admin.deelz.uk, mail.deelz.uk, and the iOS app are owned by Kaeronea Limited. You may not copy the brand, clone the UI, or pass off your own service as Deelz.

Restaurant content (names, logos, images) belongs to the respective restaurants. Respect their marks as you would any other brand.

9. Content moderation

We review submitted deals before they go live. Our review is intended to catch obvious issues (false information, broken metadata, missing details) - it's not an endorsement or verification that a deal is the best available. If you spot something wrong with a deal on Deelz, report it to support@deelz.uk.

10. Outreach emails

We may contact London restaurants that haven't yet signed up with a cold email describing the platform. If you receive one:

  • Every outreach email is from mail.deelz.uk and carries a one-click unsubscribe link plus a reply-based STOP option.
  • Replying STOP / UNSUBSCRIBE (or clicking unsubscribe) suppresses your address permanently across our systems. We do not re-contact suppressed addresses.
  • The data we use to reach you comes from public sources (your own website's contact pages, open business directories). If we've reached the wrong address or described your business incorrectly, reply telling us and we'll fix the record.
  • Receiving an outreach email doesn't create an account, enrol you in the trial, or commit you to anything. The account is only created if you actively sign up, either through the portal or by a clear "reply YES" confirmation for the proposal that was drafted for you.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your iOS app (Settings → Delete account), from your portal account settings, or by emailing privacy@deelz.uk.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that stay inactive for an extended period, or when required by law. We'll give notice before termination where it's reasonable to do so.

Upon termination: deals you've posted may remain visible for a short grace period while we clean up caches; your personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Deelz is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any deals listed will be available when you arrive at a restaurant. We don't warrant the accuracy of AI-generated suggestions - you are responsible for reviewing anything you submit. Use good judgement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kaeronea Limited, its directors, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded (for example under UK consumer law), our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the fees you paid Deelz in that period.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Indemnification

If you're a restaurant using Deelz to list deals, you agree to indemnify and hold Kaeronea Limited harmless from any third-party claims arising from (a) your content or deals, (b) your failure to honour a deal, or (c) your violation of these Terms.

15. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms over time. Material changes will be announced by email (to account holders) and by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Deelz after changes go live counts as acceptance. If you disagree with any change, you can delete your account.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless you're a consumer with a non-excludable right to a different jurisdiction.

We're a small team - if something's wrong, please email us first: support@deelz.uk. We'll try to sort it out before anyone has to involve lawyers.

This is a plain-English terms document. It's a solid starting point, but it isn't legal advice. Have a UK-qualified solicitor review it before you go to scale, take payments, or incorporate formally.
